SUMMARY: Isaiah Chapter 40 talks about how God will comfort his people who have been exiled due to their sin of idolatry. The chapter emphasizes the importance of preparing the way for the Lord and making straight paths. It also reminds us that we are like grass and dust before God, and that we need to have a new vision of ourselves in order to see the Glory of the Lord revealed. The chapter ends by emphasizing that God tends to his flock like a shepherd, gathering the lambs in his arms and carrying them close to his heart.

The chapter begins with a message of good tidings for Zion, reminding us that God is bigger and smarter than we are. We should not think we know better than God or try to take control from Him. We should trust in Him and have hope, as He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. We can fly on wings like eagles if we spread our faith and let God carry us. We need to grow up and prepare ourselves by repenting, humbling ourselves, and having faith. Let us hope in the Lord and believe in His wisdom and power.

Isaiah Chapter 40: Question, how many people know that part of the Bible it talks about mounting upon wings like eagle? Do you know that part? How many people have read and could tell me everything that’s in the whole Chapter that comes before that little section? Any one knows the whole, all the stuff that comes before?

Because, you know what? It’s one thing to think about flying and a different thing to think how to fly. Have you ever heard that song that says: “I believe I can fly? I believe I can touch the sky”.
